Tom Higley

Chief Executive Officer

Tom Higley is the Chief Executive Officer of Local Matters and also serves on it's Board of Directors. A serial entrepreneur, he has guided the strategic direction or founded numerous companies. Most recently, Mr. Higley was the CEO and founder of Pavlov Games, Inc., a company focused on transforming promotion through the use of games and game mechanics. In 2006, he founded and was CEO of iggli, inc., an invitation service for ticketed events. He co-founded and was CEO of StillSecure from 2000-2002, formerly known as Latis Networks, a company providing computer network security. Mr. Higley also co-founded Service Metrics, providing data and analytics to track and improve network performance, and served as its CEO. Service Metrics was acquired by Exodus Communications for $280 million. In 1995, he founded and served as CEO of NETdelivery Corp.

Mr. Higley's passion for forming technology startups has enabled him to share his success with top executives, serving as a mentor in the award-winning, Boulder-based accelerator TechStars since its inception in 2006 to the present. Prior to his work in high-tech senior management and as mentor to entrepreneurs and startups, Mr. Higley was an attorney at law firms Fischer, Brown, Huddleson & Gunn P.C. and Holland & Hart. Mr. Higley received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his juris doctorate from Harvard Law School.

Nancy Hamilton

Chief Financial Officer

Nancy K. Hamilton has served as a director since December 2005 and has held the position of CFO since November 2009. From April 2007 until September 2009, Ms. Hamilton served as Chief Financial Officer for Southwest Windpower, Inc., the world¹s leading provider of small wind turbines. From June 2005 until December 2006, Ms. Hamilton served as the Chief Operating Officer for Roving Planet, a provider of network access solutions. From March 2005 until June 2006 Ms. Hamilton held the position of Chief Financial Officer for Roving Planet. From June 1999 until April 2004, Ms. Hamilton served as Vice President of Finance and Administration, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of SpectraLink Corporation, which designs, manufactures and markets wireless telephone systems. From November 1993 to May 1999, Ms. Hamilton served as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President for Intrado Inc. (formerly SCC Communications Inc.), a provider of 911 management solutions to communications service providers and public safety organizations. Ms. Hamilton holds a bachelor’s degree from Regis University.

Nahid Giga

Senior Vice President, Business Development

A recognized leader in the interactive online and mobile local search space, Nahid Giga joins Local Matters as Senior Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Giga combines his experience in interactive and mobile advertising campaigns with his ability to spot emerging market trends to create successful solutions for global brands, including publishers. Most recently, Mr. Giga was Vice President of Sales and Business Development at ProKarma Interactive (formerly MobilePeople Americas). Mr. Giga has held positions in business development, strategic marketing and IT at Amdocs and IBM. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto. Additionally, Mr. Giga studied at York University's School of Business and the Institute of Computer Studies.

Jeff Porter

Senior Vice President, Products and Marketing

Jeff Porter brings his extensive experience in local search, mobile, digital media and advertising to his position as Senior Vice President of Products and Marketing. A long-time local search industry veteran, Mr. Porter's expertise growing solutions in the mobile and interactive web space lends him well to expanding Local Matters' interactive capabilities. Prior to his role at Local Matters, Mr. Porter was the Vice President of Interactive at ProKarma, an IT solutions provider, where he led the interactive business division. Mr. Porter's responsibilities have ranged from innovative product development to global go-to-market strategies for mobile products. Notably, he spearheaded an effort to develop and launch a mobile app for FIFA World Cup 2010. Mr. Porter also held positions as the vice president and general manager of MobilePeople Americas and vice president and general manager of DexKnows.com. He holds a master's of business administration from the University of Denver and a bachelor's in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia.

Eric Spencer

Vice President, Human Resources and Administration

Eric Spencer brings over 15 years of experience leading human resources organizations in technology and customer service-oriented businesses to his role as Vice President of Human Resources and Administration. Throughout his career, Mr. Spencer has successfully balanced business objectives and human resources management to create trusting relationships that enable businesses to grow. Mr. Spencer oversees the strategic and tactical operations of the human resources function at Local Matters, including human capital planning, employee relations, performance management, benefits, payroll, compensation, recruitment and training. Previous to Local Matters, Mr. Spencer held a number of senior-level human resources positions at Level3 Communications, P3 Group, Target, Quantum and Riversoft. He holds a master's of business administration from Virginia Tech, and a bachelor's in management from Arizona State University.
