Matthew J. Stover
Chief Executive Officer
Matthew J. Stover has served as a member of the Board of Directors since December 2005, becoming CEO in January 2009. Mr. Stover has served as Chairman, of LKM Ventures, LLC, an investment and advisory firm, since January 2000. From May 2000 to June 2001, Mr. Stover served as President and then Chief Executive Officer, edu.com, Inc., a marketing services company. From January 1994 to December 1999, Mr. Stover served as Group President of Bell Atlantic Directory Services, and its predecessor, NYNEX Information Services Group. Mr. Stover is a member of the Board of Directors of Ace*Comm Corporation where he serves as a member of its Audit, Compensation and Nominating Committees.
Perry Evans
Founder and President of Media Publishing
Perry R. Evans has served as our Chief Executive Officer since the 2002 formation of Local Matters. In March 2000, Mr. Evans co-founded Jabber, Inc., an advanced XML-based messaging company, serving as the Board Chairman until 2003. Mr. Evans was the founding President of the MapQuest Publishing Group in 1994 managing the business from inception through 1997. In 1998, he founded netIgnite, Inc., a an XML-based portal technology company, which was acquired by Webb Interactive in 1999. From 2000-2001, Mr. Evans served as CEO of Webb Interactive.
From 1993 to 1995, Mr. Evans served as general manager of the new media development group within RR Donnelley & Sons Company, leading the development of interactive yellow pages, travel and real estate products. Mr. Evans holds a M.B.A. degree from York University in Toronto, Canada. In 2006, Mr. Evans was named E&Y Software Entrepreneur of the Year for the Rocky Mountain Region of the US.
Marty Katz
Chief Financial Officer
Chief Financial Officer since January 2009, over his thirty-year career, Marty Katz has served as chief financial officer for a number of public and private companies. He began his career as a senior auditor at Deloitte and Touche. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and earned an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
John Kemp
Executive Vice President Sales & Business Development, Media Technology and General Manager, Voice and Wireless
John Kemp served as our Executive Vice President, Voice and Wireless Division beginning in January 2006, becoming Executive Vice President Global Sales and General Manager Voice and Wireless in 2008. Mr. Kemp served as Vice President and General Manager of Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa for ISx from December 2000 to December 2005. From September 1998 to December 2000, Mr. Kemp held business development and sales executive positions in IBM´s telecommunications division. Mr. Kemp has also held several executive positions in the publishing, advertising and information services markets with The Thomson Corporation, an integrated information supplier, U.S. West, Inc., a U.S. based telecommunications company, and Volt Information Sciences, a directory assistance service software provider. Mr. Kemp spent more than 20 years with The Thomson Corporation, attaining board level responsibility for sales, marketing and publishing and information technology in the yellow pages sector. Mr. Kemp attended INSEAD and Henley Management College.
Chris Black
Senior Vice President of Technology
Chris Black is the Senior Vice President of Technology, overseeing software architecture, software development, quality assurance, technical support and data center operations for Local Matters. He joined the company in 2005 as a software architect and search expert. Previously, Chris was Director of Engineering and Enterprise Architect at Requisite Technology, where he led the design and development of the company's suite of B2B electronic cataloging applications. Prior to Requisite, Chris held engineering positions at The Paradigm Exchange and Sabre Decision Technologies. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Arkansas.
Greg Gruse
Senior Vice President, Corporate Development
Greg brings 23 years of extensive technical and business development skills to his role as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. Most recently, Greg served as Vice President, New Ventures at ISx, a Local Matters Company. Before joining ISx, he worked at IBM on the architecture and business development teams for The Madison Project, a secure distribution system for entertainment content. Prior to IBM, Greg was one of the founders of Citrix Systems, a leader in virtual workplace solutions. He also was a co-founder of Fairway Technologies, a joint venture between IBM and Blockbuster Video.
