Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: Denver, CO
Job Description:
This position is responsible for ensuring high quality software implementations from initial requirements to final deliverable by working with all relevant stakeholders. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, strong time management and task prioritization skills, and works with other team members, development staff, customers and management to understand and coordinate the testing efforts. This person is responsible for all aspects of black box testing, including functional, system, regression and acceptance tests. As a senior member of the team, this person is expected to assist in mentoring and training of less experienced testing staff.
This position is responsible for designing and implementing test cases, preparing test data, test execution, and reviewing and evaluating test results. This candidate will work closely with developers to identify areas and methods to improve testing efficiency, expand coverage and increase product reliability.
Test and QA responsibilities include comprehensive testing of both a web based local search solution and several thick client, custom designed tools.

This position requires an experienced hands-on tester that is very independent and has a strong personality. The start-up culture is dynamic and fast-paced.

- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 5-7 years in the software test/QA field with growing levels of responsibility.
- 5-7 years experience designing, developing and maintaining test cases and procedures.
- 5-7 years interpreting user scenarios and complex use cases to develop automated and manual test scripts.
- 2+ years working in UNIX or Linux environments.
- Experience testing in data-intensive environments.
