DENVER, Colo., June 5, 2006 - Local Matters, Inc., a provider of software and media services that enable Yellow Pages publishers and 411 service providers to expand their traditional service offerings, today announced an agreement with Ingenio that will integrate their Pay Per Call listings on Local Matters´ AreaGuides.net network of websites.
Local Matters and Ingenio believe that this relationship represents a step toward the convergence of Internet, voice and wireless services. For Ingenio, the addition of Local Matters to its growing Pay Per Call Advertising Network is intended to deliver Ingenio advertisers more leads from qualified, local customers.
“Ingenio´s Pay Per Call is a strong addition to our AreaGuides.net platform,” said Jeannette McClennan, Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Media Division, Local Matters. “We think the Pay Per Call service Ingenio offers fits well with our efforts to deliver improved local content and search services to create a better consumer experience while providing additional revenue opportunities for local advertisers.”
Pay Per Call is a search-based advertising model that allows any business, including local merchants, or businesses without websites, to generate targeted phone calls instead of website clicks from their online ads, and pay only for calls received. Local Matters is the latest addition to Ingenio´s distribution network.
“We are excited to extend our network reach with the addition of Local Matters, and deliver our advertisers more locally-targeted, qualified phone leads,” said Marc Barach, Chief Marketing Officer, Ingenio.
