Local Matters Inc. Files Registration Statement for Initial Public Offering
DENVER, Colo., March 22, 2006 - Local Matters, Inc. announced that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering of shares of its common stock.
Local Matters provides software and media services that enable Yellow Pages publishers and 411 service providers to expand their traditional service offerings and capitalize on emerging opportunities in the local search market. The Company´s solutions are designed to broaden its clients´ revenue opportunities by enabling them to deliver improved consumer local search and shopping services and to extend their advertising distribution channels.
Cowen & Co., LLC is acting as the book running manager for the offering, and CIBC World Markets, Needham & Company, LLC and JMP Securities LLC are acting as co-managing underwriters. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not been determined.
