Local Matters Adds Ten New Partners and Launches 4,000 Neighborhood Websites Across the Areaguides.net Network
DENVER, Colo., November 29, 2006 - Local Matters, Inc., a provider of software and media services that enable Yellow Pages publishers and 411 service providers to expand their traditional service offerings, today announced the addition of new vertical business partners in the real estate and service markets, new affiliate partners and 4,000 new neighborhood websites across AreaGuides.net.
Local Matters has added new real estate and service focused partners that include: ForSaleByOwner.com, HomeGain, The HomeNet, iNest, Oodle, RealtyTrac Inc., and Sublet.com. With the addition of these new vertically focused partners, Local Matters is introducing a real estate channel that not only provides consumers with access to real estate data, it combines it with the existing content found within AreaGuides.net, such as financing options, home improvement information, and local school and transportation information to meet many of the needs of potential real estate buyers or sellers in one website.
The real estate channel allows consumers to organize, compare, and share information about relocation to a new city, within an existing city, or to a new neighborhood. Additionally, consumers can conduct unique side-by-side comparisons of homes as well as visual, map-oriented searches that give users the opportunity to organize their search using local maps.
Local Matters is also powering the local search strategy for new affiliate partners by creating online local content guides that are sources of useful, local content for users. These partners include Ohio television station WFMJ.com and Texasoutside.com, a site devoted to outdoor activities. Local Matters is also working with Addresses.com, a leading yellow and white page search site, to further enhance the white pages content on the AreaGuides.net network of sites.
Local Matters has also launched 4,000 new neighborhood websites across its AreaGudies.net network. A portion of these neighborhood sites currently provide address-based neighborhood search options for hotels, schools, attractions, as well as yellow pages information. Local Matters intends to roll out geo-targeted search options for all 4,000 sites and continue similar integrations across its network throughout 2007.
