July 26, 2006 - Local Matters, Inc, a provider of software and media services that enable Yellow Pages publishers and 411 service providers to expand their traditional service offerings, today announced that World Directories, a leading international directories business, has chosen Local Matters to help World Directories further develop its online local search strategy.

As part of the strategy, World Directories is using the Local Matters Destination Search platform for its Golden and White pages online directories in Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands and Portugal.

World Directories is using Local Matters´ Destination Search platform to take advantage of the growth opportunity in online local search as a complimentary revenue channel for its print directories. World Directories is now able to convert its yellow pages data into searchable content that consumers can browse, select and build itineraries from their search results.

The Netherlands Yellow and White Pages (http://www.goudengids.nl/ and http://www.nationaletelefoongids.nl/) directories, the Belgium White Pages (http://www.wittegids.be/) and the Ireland Golden Pages directory (www.goldenpages.ie), are all powered by Local Matters´ Destination Search platform. Additional sites are expected to be rolled out over the next few months in Belgium and Portugal.

World Directories is using Destination Search to tailor its online directories on a country-by-country basis. Some of the features that these sites include mapping capabilities and additional functionality that allows customers to build, organize, store and save lists by name or topic to create a personalized Internet local search experience.
